Tommy's morning escapades

Wednesday morning, I was getting ready for work. Tommy was already dressed & fed. We were in my bedroom when, Daisy, my black & white cat that Tommy calls: "Diggey", decided to crawl under my king-sized bed. It was cute. Tommy got on his hands & knees and looked under the bed and was trying to point and show me that "Diggey" went under there. And, being a boy, Tommy decided to go under the bed too, to get his cat. Before I could stop him, he was halfway between me and the other side of the bed. Daisy, realizing her predator was caving in, was long gone by then. On the other side of the bed, there was a plastic tub, blocking Tommy's escape. I went over there, removed the plastic tub, and saw Tommy under the bed, then trying to figure out how to avoid being plucked out from underneath his new exciting hideaway. Luckily, I was able to get ahold of both his hands and slide him out on the wood floor. His head ducked under the side of the wooden fraim. He had abig huge smile on his cute little face.

Another cute story, on Monday morning, Tommy had just woken up. I held him for a minute, while I was pulling out his outfit for the day, when he wanted down. I set him down and heard the pitter-patter of his cute little feet as he ran into the living room. I chased after him, to discover he was playing hide & go seek w/ the big brown sliding door curtain in the dining room. All you could see were his cute little bare feet sticking out underneath the curtain, and his hysterical little cackle. So I walked around, "Tommy! Tommy! Where are you?!?!" Just to hear that excited little cackling sound was pure Heaven. He immediately swung the curtain open and proceeded to run to get away from me, letting out this super loud, super happy shrilling laugh. He is such a happy little boy.

6 month catchup

I can't believe that I've abandoned my blog for so long. Well, Tommy had his first birthday in September, my Mom & Grandmother flew in for the event. Steve's parents came down to see him, as well as all 4 sibblings! Then in October, Tommy (who was fluent in "Quack quack quack") dressed up as a Duckie for Halloween. In November, we had a nice Thanksgiving, lots to be Thankful for. Christmas was one to be remembered, Tommy received the cutest little trainset, which he adores! We visited w/ the Aldrich's celebrated and he was the center of attention. Victoria, Tommy & I were to fly down to Miami to visit my family on New Years Eve, but due to a snow storm, our flight was cancelled and we left on New Years Day 2009. What a nice trip that turned out to be. We got to see my sister & her sweet little Braden, my Mom, my Grandmother, my Dad. We got to "hang out" in Miami. We visited my old park: Dante Fascell in South Miami, went to the malls, went out to dinner at Captain's Tavern, Samurai, Cheesecake Factory, etc. But the biggest surprise going out to dinner, was the affect on the economy. All of these places normally have 45-60 minute waits. We were seated immediately each time. It was so strange. But we got to see the sun, feel the warmth, and enjoy the life that Victoria & I used to have. I had lots of really good bonding time with Victoria & Tommy. When we returned, Tommy clung on to me when I was dropping him off at daycare. That was when I realized how much he enjoyed the time we spent together. Anyways, back in cold NH. I wish NH was only a 3 hour drive to FL, rather then a 3 hour flight. Wish I could just pop in on the family when I felt like it. Oh well, they're in my heart. Enjoy the photos.
